Great physical challenge in the great outdoors. Very good staff. It's a lot higher up and definitely more challenging with rope climbing, walking on swinging logs, round balls and monkey bars.
Definitely tiring but nicely ended with some ziplines. I was told the Nanaimo one was a bit harder but not as high! They got through this one in minutes.
Not as busy as the Classic course but definitely another level harder. Staff were great on talking you through tough spots, rescues yes, my kid couldn't unhook her clasp at one of the obstacles and wore masks.
Hand sanitizers located in spots throughout the property. Harnesses are sanitized. Wear layers and comfortable clothing. Way busier in the summer than during school months.
Not sure if there are real washrooms on-site or a port-a-potty so be prepared. I called ahead to avoid coming during any group bookings. Good value, great exercise, and in the great outdoors.

And she does find them. They end up dancing together in a field, dressed in costumes like hers, along with the band. Trust me You can watch it here.
Our experience of almost two decades in church ministry, shaped me to the point where I now have to undo some of that shaping. People call it fish-bowl living, in that your lives are under a microscope.
I experienced that as a woman, supporting her husband in ministry and that brought a whole new dimension to the fish-bowl experience. I allowed myself to shrink into a corner, publicly.
I adapted. A few months back I found half-price iridescent pink Dr. Not subtle. But I loved them all the same. I battled over whether to spend the birthday money I was given on something so obscure.
I pressed add to cart before I could talk myself out of it. When they arrived our younger kids decided they were awesome mermaidy boots and that I had to keep them.
I wore them to the supermarket the other day, just because. I will no longer shrink. Anything that veers from an ordinary narrative, seems to make us uncomfortable.
Or the silent contract we keep without ourselves, not to stand out or take too many crazy risks. From experience, I know it drains you. He was playing for change on the Venice beach boardwalk for well over a year before Shannon Hoon joined the band.
The other part of me the default wants to curl up, shut the world out and stuff my face with almond magnums. We are in the prep stage of this journey.
Luke has been writing songs and playing them with his bassist. Things are happening. She left 11 months ago.
I miss her. I still remember how she said hello to everyone we passed by, but that was her. I wish she was still here.
It amped us up for the day. In those moments, we had hope in the day before us. The best stuff was yet to come. Whatever came, we were there for each other.
As the years have passed, this has remained. It still amazes me how the right combination of chords or the significance of lyrics can touch something within us.
That it can bind our sadness, sealing it forever between the notes. Songs become part of the story our heart tells about love, loss, goodness and hope.
And this one, will forever be full of bitter sweetness for me. Grief is a rollercoaster. It gets you in the strangest moments. In January I was walking through town, thinking about what had been, and how to live the best way moving forward.
Our breakfast song began playing loudly from a nearby speaker, as workers fixed the inside of a stairwell. I walked over and just stood there, inside a neighbouring shop pretending to look at aromatherapy oils, until it finished.
Maybe it was a coincidence, but are there really any of those? Life is so precious and fleeting. Life is to be lived and loved now, in all its messy, hard, and sometimes exhausting glory.
There is beauty amidst the wreckage. I promise. My hope is that you have your own breakfast song on your playlist, one that reminds you of the goodness yet to come.
And in the end, we shall achieve in time The thing they call divine And all the stars will smile for me When all is well and well is all for all And forever after Maybe in the meantime, wait and see.
The world has gone freaking crazy. Conspiracy theories, political obsession, and fear-mongering are rampant as everyone finds their way to cope.
For me, one reprieve from the madness is music. I love thinking back to a Weezer gig we went to at Mount Smart Stadium.
Live gigs transcend any current reality for me. So last Sunday, we had our own family gig instead. Our kids are quite talented and it blows my mind regularly, they performed and that was something in itself.
